Packaged SME Employee Benefits Plans

Packaged insurance solutions from MetLife Bangladesh to meet the requirements of all small and medium enterprises.

Packaged SME Employee Benefits Plans are designed to cater to the needs for the employees of small and medium enterprises that have at least 5 total employees. MetLife Bangladesh offers a range of group death, disability and medical solutions that can either be bought off the shelf or be tailored to your company’s individual requirements.

Options available
  • Basic group life coverage ranging from BDT 100,000 to BDT 500,000 per employee
  • Optional group accidental death coverage ranging from BDT 100,000 to BDT 500,000 per employee
  • Optional group permanent total disability ranging from BDT 100,000 to BDT 500,000 per employee
  • Optional group permanent partial disability ranging from BDT 100,000 to BDT 500,000 per employee
  • Optional in-patient general hospitalization ranging from BDT 40,000 to BDT 150,000 plans for employees and their dependents
  • Optional in-patient maternity ranging from BDT 12,000 to BDT 30,000 C/S plans for married females

I need to learn more about Packaged SME Employee Benefits Plans

Groups having at least 5 employees can avail SME Packaged plan. However, this is applicable to all except Maternity coverage. Groups having a minimum of at least 10 married females can have In Patient- Maternity coverage.

While the employer must fill out a special Packaged Plan Application Form to avail this package, each employee and dependent (for Medical coverage only), must also fill out the Group Health Statement or G-42 Form.

Although it is a Pre-underwritten product package, MetLife underwriters hold the right to decline providing coverage to any employee or dependent who does not appear to represent acceptable risk or health condition either from initial screening of the G-42 Form or from further medical tests conducted by MetLife on the applicant at the former’s own cost.

Unlike the Tailor Made Solutions, the premium rates for the “Packaged” Benefits are pre-determined and are based on the date of birth of the individual employee or dependent. Since the rates are reviewed periodically by MetLife underwriters, the rates during policy renewal may change even if an employee remains within the same age range.
